As we head into 2022, I want to wish all my readers and followers a Happy New Year! I would love to hear about your reading or writing accomplishments in the past year, and some of your goals or resolutions for next year.
Here are mine:
- I joined the Idaho Writers Guild. It’s important for me to always improve my craft, so I attended many of their online workshops and presentations throughout the year. I will continue next year.
- I started this blog at the beginning of 2021 and made around 25 posts. One of my goals for next year is to increase readership and post interaction, as well as posting more frequently.
- This February, one of my stories appeared in the Idaho Writer’s in Residences zine. You can see the story here: http://carolynfenzl.com/2021/02/22/my-writers-in-residences-story/
- I published Christmas in Cave Creek, the second novel in my Lucy Vaughn Mystery series, in May and received some excellent Amazon reviews. This year, I plan to publish the series spin off novel The Ballad of Buddy which is in the final editing stage.
- During National Novel Writing Month, I wrote 23,000 words toward the third Lucy Vaughn Mystery Novel. My goal is to finish a complete draft of the novel this year.
- My 100-word Tiny Cat Story was featured in the Fall/Winter edition of Modern Cat Magazine
- I read over a dozen books this year, discussing most of them with the online book club I organize on meetup.
Again, Happy New Year!
